First Day In Ban Makkhaeng School

Day 1 Observation, 7 Agustus 2017

In the morning about  07.00 AM, Miss Kim came to our dorm to drop us went  to the practicum schools.

All of us rode a van to reach our school except Herni and Ita, who was assigned in Demonstration school, demonstation school located in Rajabhat University , so they walked to reach their  school. The first stopped of our van was in Ban Makheang School .

 Ban Makhaeng School will  be my practicum school for a month.

 I and 3 of  my friends they were Vincent and Lynard who came from Filipina and Sila from Yoyakarta out of the van first. Miss Kim handover us to school. We Got warmly welcome from one of the teacher  who we called “Kru Nang” . Kru Nang assigned me to teach in grade 7, Lynard in grade 9, sila and Vincent in grade 8. After that we joined  flag ceremony, for your information in Udonthani flag ceremony celebrates everyday. After flag ceremony , the teacher gave us time to introduced ourselves in front of all residents of the school.

Next, all of us met with our advisor. My advisor is Mrs. Chamaiporn. But Her nick name is Mrs Tim. I think in Thai , everyone has different nick name with their sure name. She is less English but she do her best, she is very kind to me. She  gave me the material that I am going to teach, It is about matter, element, compound, solution, and suspension for M.1 (junior high school grade 1). She showed me my desk in front of  hers , and she gave two classes to teach , they are 1/1 and 1/8.

Mrs Chamaiporn gave me information about this school having all grades from pre-school until high school. There is also special class for the students who need special education. The school have 150 teachers, 7 main building and 3800 students. It is a large school.

Ms. Srippa Bunthaothook (nick name : Miuk)

Miuk is student from UDRU who doing practicum in Bank Makhaeng. Her major is Biology. She help me everything here, although we have problem about language but she is taking care of me very well.

 Today I observed in M 1/1, and introduced myself there. The students are all good, they were talkactive and didn’t mind to make mistakes.

Afterthat I went  to the science lab  to see process of selection for all students grade 7.  This selection goal was to find students who will representate Ban Makkhaeng to join science competition in Rajabat Univesrity on August, 16 next week.

 

 
In 16.00 pm, we backed to our dorm. Learnig process in this school began at 07.30 until 16,00.
